| Q) How do you get 116 horsepower?
A) By calculating the average braking power needed to change the 60-0 MPH time. The peak power would be over 200 horsepower. More here.
Q) Wouldn't bigger brakes be better?
A) Not on the rear of the car. Only 20% of the braking is done by the rear wheels and any more would cause rear wheel lock up. More here. | | Q) There has to be a better system?
A) Once the right brake balance is achieved, greater deceleration is achieved only by sticky tires or moving weight in the car. 40mm brakes provide over 1.0 G deceleration.
Q) Can these be put on any Viper?
A) 40mm brakes are only for 1992-2000 model year Vipers, the cars that do not have ABS. Purchase here. They will not fit on newer model cars. | |
